Breathecoat
Acrylic Paint is a functional paint with the specific purpose to
allow water vapour to evaporate from the substrate, but not allowing any water
penetrating the substrate from the exterior environment. It is available in a
range of colours.
Purpose:
• To allow
damp saturated walls to breathe vapour out, without the paint peeling, through
the application of membrane Nano-technology.

Acrylic Paint is APEO free.
• Breathecoat
Acrylic Paint inhibits the growth of algae on the substrate.
Preparation
of substrate:
• Wall
substrate only needs to be touch-dry.
•
Wall
substrate must be sound, oil and fat free. Repair all cracks, using Breathecoat
Crack Super repair Bond.
• When
applied to already painted surfaces, all loose and flaking material must be
removed. If the painted substrate presents a smooth or glossy sheen, the
surface must be sanded using a 200 grit sandpaper to ensure a profile for good
bonding. One the substrate has been sanded; all dust must be removed before
commencing with painting.
• No primer
is required.
Mixing:
Stir the contents before application.
Application:
• Apply,
using a “Hamiltons Classic” roller and paint brush.
•Apply as a
two coat system when painting newly plastered walls or as a single coat on
already painted walls.
• Coverage:
6m² to 7m² per L per
coat, depending on the substrate profile.
Do not apply as an external application, should it rain
within 24 hours.
